PARTNERS FAQ
What is TEDx?
Based on the world-famous TED conferences, where well-known speakers from a wide range of fields present novel ideas to spark change, TEDx offers a similar opportunity to local communities. Though they are licensed to use the TED format and guidelines, these events are independently organized and allow everyday thinkers and dreamers to present their passions and ideas to a wide audience. This enables them to inspire others to become more involved in local, national and international initiatives, and go on to positively impact lives.
TEDxYouth@BainbridgeIsland is an officially licensed TEDx event that is now entering its first year, and it will take place on February 1, 2020.
Who will be speaking at the upcoming event?
Our list of speakers is still being finalized. However, approximately 6-8 of our community’s youth in action between the ages of 13-21 will speak, perform, or do a demonstration.
Why should we be involved in TEDxYouth@BainbridgeIsland?
As a TEDxYouth event that aims to engage and encourage our youth to lead, take action, and make a difference in our community and the world, TEDxYouth@BainbridgeIsland is an ideal platform for sparking initiatives. More importantly, it also offers the chance to support ideas and causes that directly impact individuals and communities in need. By supporting the event, you or your organization can earn recognition for being a part of these positive changes while also promoting your brand.
How can we support the event?
We are currently seeking donations to offset the costs of our event. In accordance with TED’s regulations, all donations will be directly applied to the costs associated with organized and running the event, with any amount above this applied to future events. Costs that are greatly needed are for venue rental, refreshments, and audio/visual recording equipment and engineer rentals for the day. This helps us produce videos that have a greater chance to be featured on TED.com and get selected for the TED main stage.
The costs of sponsorship for TEDxYouth@BainbridgeIsland are:
Innovator: $500
Visionary: $250
What do we receive in return for sponsorship?
TED rules govern the types of recognition that can be given for TEDx events. In order to adhere to those guidelines, TEDxYouth@BainbridgeIslanding can provide the following for partners:
- Your name and/or logo on materials distributed outside the event venue, as well as the event program

- Special thanks by the MC at the commencement and closing of the event
- Inclusion on the partners page of the official event website

Is there any other way to support the event?
